UW-Green Bay Sheboygan won the WCC-East Division title by five games, and while the Wombats had to survive a one-point scare in the semi-finals, Sunday's championship game was a cruise from the beginning, as Sheboygan topped Wausau 110-91 for the WCC Men's Basketball title at the JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

Sheboygan squeaked out a one-point win over Waukesha in Saturday's semi-final, winning 69-68 after struggling from the free throw line, making just 10-of-21.

Wausau had to go to overtime to get past Fox Cities in the other semi-final contest, winning 97-90. The Huskies struggled from the charity stripe as well, shooting just 21-of-36, but Ian Gibbs (Port Edwards HS) was a cool 12-for-14 to help post a team-high 23 points.

Wausau led 10-6 early on in the championship game, but Sheboygan closed the first half strong to take a 52-41 halftime advantage, as Jalen Brown-Morrow was impossible to contain. The Messmer High School grad connected on eight-of-11 shots in the first half for 17 points, as Delvin Barnstable (Sheboygan Lutheran HS) added 14 to go with 10 rebounds.

The second half belonged to Sheboygan, who held off any and all Wausau rallies to pull away for the win.

Brown-Morrow was even better in the second half, scoring 21 to finish with a game-high 38 points. Barnstable settled for 32 points with 16 rebounds, as the duo combined for ten made three-point baskets in the game.

Wausau was led by Cade Bowker (Rosholt HS), who had a team-high 19 points, while four others joined him in double-figures.
